Privacy Policy: Surfaced

Surfaced: AI Visibility is a Shopify app built by Korilla Pty Ltd. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it stores, and how to reach us about it.

What we access

The app requests two Shopify permission scopes: read_themes and write_products. We use these to scan your theme and product data for AI-readiness issues, and to publish the schema, FAQs, and descriptions you approve. We do not request any customer-data scopes and do not access customer names, emails, addresses, or order information.

What we store

• Your shop's domain, as your account identifier.
• Audit results: readiness scores and check statuses for your store and theme.
• Product FAQ and description drafts you generate: the product ID and title, the content itself, and, for descriptions, the text that was there before you published so it can be reverted.
• AI visibility check results: the buyer-style questions searched and the public web pages that appeared in the results. These are already-public search results, not personal data.
• Monthly usage counts, to enforce plan limits.
• Basic usage events (e.g. that an audit ran, or a subscription status changed) for our own product analytics. No customer data is included in these events.

Who else processes it

• Shopify, the platform this app runs on, and who handles billing.
• Our AI content-generation provider, used to draft FAQs, descriptions, and to run the live web searches behind the visibility check. Only the product data and text described above is sent; no customer data is ever sent to this provider.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the app and its database.

We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app triggers deletion of the data listed above for your shop. You can also contact us at any time to request deletion sooner.
